My name is Rachel McDonald, I am a psychotherapist. I am experienced in working with people from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures and life experiences, and I celebrate difference and diversity.
I welcome people of all gender identities, sexual practices and orientations, and relationship structures, and I am kink-knowledgeable.
My practice is neuroinclusive and I have experience working with autism, ADHD and other kinds of neurodivergence.
I also have many years’ experience in supporting survivors of sexual violence, and of community building and activism in feminist, queer and kink communities.
My therapeutic approach is based on psychoanalytic theory integrated with intersectional feminism, queer theory, and queer of color critique. I work hard to practise in an anti-oppressive way, which means I actively explore my power and privilege, and what that brings to bear on my actions and words, both in and outside the consulting room.

My qualifications
I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Practice from Oxford University and am currently completing a Diploma in Psychosexual Therapy at Tavistock Relationships.
I am accredited by the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and I am a member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT).
